Free Delivery

Depending on the type of product you have purchased from us, you will be presented with different delivery options. Please take a moment to read through this short explanation of these options and how it applies to you.

  • Items showing a “Free Delivery” button will be delivered free of charge to most UK mainland addresses but some Scottish Highlands and offshore addresses will be liable for a delivery charge.

  • All orders over £150.00 plus VAT will be delivered free of charge to most UK mainland addresses but some Scottish Highlands and offshore addresses will be liable for a delivery charge.

  • Orders under £150.00 plus VAT will be charged delivery at £50.00 plus VAT to most UK mainland addresses but some Scottish Highlands and offshore addresses will be liable for a delivery charge upgrade.


Delivery information for the type of product you are purchasing:

Refrigeration Equipment
- Fridges and freezers are heavy items and are delivered in large individual cardboard boxes.
- All items will be delivered with full manufacturer’s set-up, operating and cleaning instructions.
- Delivery time for these items is usually 5-7 working days.
- Occasionally an item may be temporarily out of stock. If this is the case, we will inform you immediately of the earliest delivery date.

Kitchen Equipment
- Cookers, hot cupboards and large catering equipment are heavy items and are usually delivered in individual cardboard boxes.
- All items will be delivered with full manufacturer’s set-up, operating and cleaning instructions.
- Delivery time for these items is usually 2-3 working days.
- Occasionally an item may be temporarily out of stock. If this is the case, we will inform you immediately of the earliest delivery date.

Catering Equipment
- Items are usually delivered in individual cardboard boxes or in the packaged quantities, indicated during the ordering process
- Where applicable, items will be delivered with full manufacturer’s set-up, operating and cleaning instructions.
- Delivery time for these items is usually 2-3 working days.
- Occasionally an item may be temporarily out of stock. If this is the case, we will inform you immediately of the earliest delivery date.

Glassware
- Items are delivered in cardboard boxes in the packaged quantities, indicated during the ordering process
- Delivery time for these items is usually 2-3 working days.
- Occasionally an item may be temporarily out of stock. If this is the case, we will inform you immediately of the earliest delivery date.

Chinaware
- Items are delivered in cardboard boxes in the packaged quantities, indicated during the ordering process
- Delivery time for these items is usually 14 working days.
- Occasionally an item may be temporarily out of stock. If this is the case, we will inform you immediately of the earliest delivery date.

Cutlery
- Items are delivered in cardboard boxes in the packaged quantities, indicated during the ordering process
- Delivery time for these items is usually 2-3 working days.
- Occasionally an item may be temporarily out of stock. If this is the case, we will inform you immediately of the earliest delivery date.

Furniture
- Furniture items are usually delivered by pallet and in some cases may require assembly.
- Delivery time for these items is usually 3-5 working days.
- Occasionally an item may be temporarily out of stock. If this is the case, we will inform you immediately of the earliest delivery date.

Other Terms & Information
Our aim is to process all orders within one full working day and have your product delivered to you within the time specified in the information above. However, delivery times are estimates only and no guarantee can be made unless in exceptional circumstances and it is approved by a member of our sales team.

If you do require next day delivery please contact our sales team directly on 01922 629 009 for this service and, depending on availability, this can be arranged for you at an additional cost.

With the delivery of all large items, it is your responsibility to advise us of any access problems that may cause problems. The delivery driver must have clear and unimpeded access to effect delivery.

Goods damaged in transit must be reported immediately by signing the delivery note ‘Damaged On Arrival’ and informing the company within 48 hours. Any damaged goods must be retained by the buyer for any inspection. If the delivery note is signed without the comment ‘Damaged On Arrival’ the seller cannot be held responsible for damages.

If you do not like the equipment you have purchased from Discount Catering Direct, then you are unable to return it, unless otherwise agreed with Discount Catering Direct.  For multiple quantity orders of a single product type, customers are able to pay for a sample to be delivered prior to an order being placed to ensure that the product you are ordering is suitable - please speak to a member of our sales team about this on 01922 629 009.
